Meet Our Principal
Mr. Chris Hartmann

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at McDowell Mountain Elementary School! As the new principal, Mr. Hartmann is excited to be at MMES!  He brings over 15 years of administrative experience, most recently as FHHS Principal from 2021-2024.  He loves fitness, his family, including his two grown sons and his dogs, and food. He also loves sports, and is an avid NY Mets and NY Jets fan.  He does not particularly enjoy boats, heights, or going to Costco. His favorite duties as a principal are lunch duty and just stopping in classrooms and interacting with kids and teachers (but not disrupting learning). Mr. Hartmann hopes to impact MMES and the students, staff, and community in a positive way.  GO FALCONS!
