Mrs. Barrie Muzbeck Pinto is currently in her second year as Principal of Fountain Hills High School. With over 25 years of experience, she has held various roles, including middle school teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Elementary Principal across public, charter, and private institutions in the Phoenix metropolitan area, as well as in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Originally from Michigan, Barrie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from The Ohio State University and later completed her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at George Mason University. She holds SEI and Reading Specialist endorsements and obtained her Certificate of International School Leadership during her time in Brazil.

Barrie was a competitive gymnast for Team USA and excelled as a student-athlete at The Ohio State University.  She shares her life with a supportive husband, whom she met while competing at the Olympic level. Barrie has a son residing in Colorado and a daughter living in Tucson. Family is a cornerstone of her life, and they cherish their time together through travel, hiking, camping, and cooking.

Barrie is excited to be part of such a welcoming community and is proud to lead a dedicated team of educators who support one another and inspire students to be engaged in every class. Understanding that high school presents numerous changes, challenges, and choices, Barrie is committed to partnering with students and their families to create a positive and productive high school experience.
