Homeless Assistance Program
At Fountain Hills Unified School District, we believe every child deserves a safe, stable, and supportive learning environment — regardless of their housing situation. Through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, we ensure that students experiencing homelessness have full access to school, resources, and opportunities for success.
Your child may be eligible for services under McKinney-Vento if your family is:
-
Living in a shelter, motel, or campground
-
Sharing housing due to loss of housing or economic hardship (“doubled up”)
-
Staying in a car, park, abandoned building, or other place not meant for regular housing
-
Living in a motel or campground due to lack of alternative adequate accommodations
If your family is facing housing challenges or you're unsure whether you qualify, please reach out — support is available.
