Student Records
To request Special Education records, please email jmiramon@fhacademics.org
Destruction of Records
Special Education records are destroyed five (5) years after a student has withdrawn, transferred, graduated or exited from special education services. Fountain Hills Unified School District intends to destroy the special education records of all students who exited from special education services during the 2019 - 2020 school year.
If you wish to maintain your special education records, please email jmiramon@fhacademics.org with the subject line: IEP Request 2019-2020.
If no student, parent or guardian responds to this public notice, the district will assume consent to destroy the entire special education record specific to that student. Requests to collect records will be received until May 30, 2026. Any special education records not claimed will be destroyed in accordance with state and federal regulations.
